Chia-Wei Chang, PhD.

Dr. Chang is a postdoctoral scholar in the Fanselow lab. He earned his PhD in neuroscience under Dr. Kimberly Huber's mentorship at UT Southwestern Medical Center and become proficient at several techniques, including electrophysiology, optogenetic, imaging and molecular biology. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Sung Eun Kwon’s lab in University of Michigan, focused on functional and anatomical dissection of cortical-cortical feedback connections and their roles in modulating local circuit activity. Right now he is interested in the brain circuit associated with chronic opioid-induced long-term plasticity and behavioral change and dissecting it with electrophysiological and molecular tools.
